When is junk removal the right call?

Junk removal is the right call when the labor is the real problem — not the volume. If the volume's bigger than half a truckload and you've got help loading and driveway space, a roll-off dumpster is usually cheaper.

• ●You don't want to load it yourself, or you can't. Stairs, age, injury, time — any of these. We do the lifting.
• ●Single bulky items. A couch, an old hot tub, a refrigerator, a treadmill. A roll-off is overkill for one piece; the minimum-load tier ($150) covers it.
• ●You're on a deadline. Closing Friday, tenant moves in Monday, estate has to clear by month-end. Same-day before 11 AM works for most of Durham Region.
• ●It's an estate cleanout. We work through stairs and corners, sort what's usable, dispose of what isn't.
• ●Hazmat-adjacent items you'd rather hand off. Fridges and freezers (refrigerant handled properly), mattresses, TVs, monitors — we route to the right facility.
• ●Awkward access. Tight stairs, no driveway, condo loading-zone coordination. Doesn't change our price — the truck-space tier doesn't depend on the carry.

What kinds of junk do you haul?

What can't go in our truck?

Hazardous waste is a hard line. We don't haul paint, motor oil, gasoline, solvents, pesticides, pool chemicals, asbestos, or biohazardous material. Batteries are out across the board — lithium especially, transfer stations refuse loads over a single power-tool battery. Your local household hazardous waste depot is the right channel for these.

Not sure whether something counts as hazmat? Call before booking — we'd rather flag it on the phone than show up and have to leave items behind.

How does the process work?

1. You call or send the form. (289) 886-3329, or the quote form. Tell us roughly what you have, where, and when. Photos help — text them to the same number.
2. We schedule. Same-day before 11 AM for most of Durham Region; next-day default for Peterborough and Kawartha Lakes. We confirm an arrival window on the call.
3. We arrive. We check in, walk the items, and give you the firm truck-space tier estimate before any loading starts.
4. We confirm and load. You say yes, we load, you're free to do something else. We don't haul anything you don't want hauled.
5. We haul and dispose. Everything goes to licensed transfer stations, recycling facilities, or donation partners as appropriate. You pay the confirmed quote — no surprise add-ons after the truck is full.

If the job grows mid-pickup, we re-estimate and confirm before continuing. The price you saw is the price you pay, with re-tier confirmation if scope changes.

Speed reality — same-day before 11 AM, with limits

Same-day is real for Durham Region and closer Northumberland towns when you call before 11 AM. We dispatch out of a single depot in Orono, so honest about the edges: Peterborough and Kawartha Lakes default to next-day given the drive, plus a flat $65 extended-area fee. Delivery and pickup windows generally run 8 AM to 4 PM.
