What we tear down

Standalone outbuildings and accessory structures only — anything that stands on its own and isn't attached to the main house. Not a generic "we demo anything" promise; we run a clear lane and stay in it.

Sheds
Detached garages
Decks
Fences
Hot tubs
Above-ground pools
Gazebos & pergolas
Playsets & swing sets
Chicken coops
Greenhouses
Barns & outbuildings
Free-standing sun rooms

If your structure isn't on the list, mention it when you call. The rule is "standalone, not attached to the house." Most things that fit that rule are work we do.

What we don't do

Honest scope beats a vague "we do everything" promise:

  • Interior demolition. Kitchens, bathrooms, basement-to-studs renovations — that's a general contractor or specialty interior demo crew.
  • Anything attached to the main house. Sun rooms, additions, attached garages, attached decks (sometimes). Anything touching the house's structural envelope needs a GC with the right licensing.
  • Full house teardowns. Structural engineering, asbestos surveys, full demo permits — a different scope of work entirely.
  • Load-bearing structural work. Anything inside a structure that holds it up. Engineer's stamp territory.
  • Asbestos and lead paint abatement. We don't touch it. Pre-1980 sheds and garages occasionally have asbestos siding or shingles — if we spot it on site, we decline and refer you to a licensed abatement contractor, then come back once it's cleared.
  • Concrete cutting or breakup. We don't run a saw or jackhammer crew, and we don't haul the resulting concrete — that's a clean-fill specialist's job.
  • Blasting or explosives. Obviously not.

If your job isn't a fit, we'll tell you on the call before we waste your time — and point you toward a contractor who handles it.

Demolition pricing — published starting ranges

Every demo job is different — final quote confirmed on site after walkthrough. These are honest starting ranges so you can self-qualify before calling. Disposal of all materials is included in the total.

Final quote confirmed on site after walkthrough. Disposal of all materials included in the total. We don't pull demo permits — that's the homeowner's responsibility when required. Real-world conditions (difficult access, deep footings, rusted-in fasteners, unexpected concrete) can move the number up from the starting price — but whatever it lands on, you'll know it before we swing a hammer.

How a demo job runs

  1. Call or send the quote form. (289) 886-3329 — mention it's a demo job. Tell us the structure type, rough dimensions, and any access constraints. Photos help; text them along with your name.
  2. Site walkthrough. We come out and look, confirm scope (anything you want salvaged?), and give you the fixed price on site, before leaving.
  3. You schedule. Most demo jobs book a few days to a week out from the walkthrough, depending on crew availability and job size. Same-day demo is rare — this isn't a service where speed beats accuracy.
  4. Demo day. Crew arrives at the booked window and gets to work — typical durations run from a couple hours for a playset to a few days for a two-car garage.
  5. Disposal and site cleanup. Materials are hauled to a licensed transfer station or recycled where appropriate (metal roofing, scrap steel). Site is left at ground level — slab and any in-ground footings stay unless quoted otherwise.

Permits

We don't pull demo permits — that's the homeowner's responsibility. Most of what we tear down (small sheds, playsets, hot tubs) doesn't require a permit in most towns. Detached garages, large decks, and structures over a certain square footage sometimes do.

Rules vary by municipality. Clarington, Whitby, Oshawa, and the other towns we serve each set their own thresholds — worth a quick call to your local building department to confirm before booking. If we determine a permit's needed when you call, we'll flag it — we don't start demo until it's in hand.

Where we demo

Same dispatch reach as our other services — we run out of a single depot in Orono, ON, covering Durham Region, Northumberland County, Peterborough, and the City of Kawartha Lakes. Peterborough and Kawartha Lakes jobs carry a flat $65 extended-area fee, same as our dumpster and junk removal pricing.

If you don't actually need a teardown

Different services on the menu: Roll-off Rentals (you do the work, we drop the bin), Junk Removal (we load and haul, you don't tear down), or the Hybrid (bin plus a crew for the heavy stuff). Not sure which fits your job? Call (289) 886-3329 and we'll point you the right way.
